One day clinics are designed for players of all skill levels to learn & improve their game from former Division 1 head coaches Tiny Green & Mike Rice. Open to boys & girls, the program focuses on improving the player’s overall game by focusing on a variety of drills to develop the entire player.

During a time when screen time seems to take precedence over anything else, it’s crucial for kids to get an hour of physical activity every day—and even if they only play basketball for a few hours a week, they’re getting more exercise than they would be without the sport.
The study analyzed data from surveys conducted over the course of a competitive season with youth basketball players. The researchers gathered information from 181 players who were part of formal youth basketball programs. They trained at least three times per week and played a game each weekend during the 9-month competitive season. The participants reported moderate or severe injuries only twice during this period.

Youth basketball games often involve offensive sets and quick hitters. An example of a quick hitter is a back screen, which involves one player setting a teammate behind his or her defender while another player cuts to the basket and receives the ball. Another example is a down screen, which is where one player turns toward the baseline to set a teammate in front of the basket.
FOULS: Players are allowed five personal fouls per game. If a player fouls out and there is no one to play to make five on the floor, that player who fouled out may re-enter the game with the consent of the coaches.
Teams will be allowed 3 time outs per game. Timeouts are 30 seconds and players must stay on the floor. Team will gain one additional time out for overtime periods. Any overtime periods will be an extension of the 4th period, and timeouts may be carried over.
7th & 8th grade: Half-court zone defenses and full-court zone presses are allowed. 5th-6th grade: Half-court zone defenses and full-court zone presses are NOT ALLOWED. Double teaming is not allowed throughout the competition, unless it occurs through the concepts and principles of help side man to man defense.
Before the game begins the coach must turn in the team substitution pattern to the scorer's table. You will assign each player a number (1-9) on the substitution chart and follow the corresponding pattern below for the entire game. Overtime rotation will be up to the coach. Any player can play.
The ball must be held in or between the hands; the arms or body must not be used for holding it. No shouldering, holding, pushing, tripping or striking in any way the person of an opponent shall be allowed.
